2017: A throw back to our best moments

“Headspace is always a great space for creative minds to brainstorm, build and bond with their teams. Something different to your usual “meeting room” setting and great for large groups without compromising on quality” – London College of Fashion. 2017 has been an exciting year for Headspace Group and our community. We take a look back at some of our member`s favourite moments of the year.

New in 2017

We started the year with a bang, opening Headspace Manchester. The launch party was a great success welcoming our newest members and fellow Mancunians, with live music and exclusive prints created by Mancsy and hidden around various parts of the building as a competition for our guests. We were subsequently dubbed by Lovin Manchester as ‘the coolest f**king office in the city’.

Lets Talk Business

We’ve hosted numerous lunch time talks and workshops this year. Talking Heads is always a popular event with our members which also features contestants from The Apprentice and Dragons` Den. Check out our blogs on these events on the Headspace blog. Our favourites include ‘Building Your Brand’, ‘Finance Top Tips’ and ‘Influencer Marketing’.

Coming in 2018, we can`t wait to bring in the `The Breakfast Club`. It is a new forum for our members to discuss business trends and share ideas with the community. We welcome a representative from each company, no matter your seniority. If you are interested in attending these events in the future, please email dmt@headspacegroup.co.uk.

Being a Headspacer

Headspace`s Community offers all of our members an opportunity to network with each other. But we like to keep it interesting and each month offer different events and forums which are free for our Headspacers.

Our ‘Tasting Evenings’ were launched in 2017, and proven to be the most entertaining of events with our senior management members. Tastings change throughout the year from wine, cheese, beer, whisky or gin. With just 10 members invited to each event, it is an intimate setting where you can meet business owners and managers, with no awkward silences or forced conversations. These events are ‘invite only’ as we try to match our members to relevant business connections. If you are interested in attending these events in 2018 contact dmt@headspacegroup.co.uk.

The most memorable events this year often involve some friendly competition between members with the Bake Off and Quiz nights standing out the most. But we had the most laughs at Comedy Night. Hosted by David Schneider and organised by Headspace tenants That Lot, we were also joined by stand up comedians Sam Lake, Chloe Petts, Matt Hutson and Tamsyn Kelly. Of course the year has also been sprinkled with various pop up food and drinks events including plenty of cocktails, pizzas and even some unicorn toast. But sometimes we know how to totally chill out with massage days for our members with Urban Massage.

Charity Events

Offering awareness or boosting support for charities has been an important part of this year.

Rather than just passing the collection tin round, we have offered talks from MQ Mental Health, competitions, bake-offs and quiz’s to raise money. MQ Mental Health Charity week raised £270, See Red, World AIDS Day raised £255 and Macmillan Coffee Morning raised £220.

What Next?

We have so much to look forward to in 2018. With the prospect of opening 20 new Headspace sites in the next 3 Years, next year is going to be a big one. We look can`t wait to show you what our community will have to offer next.
